I am a Graduate Assistant at the University of Toledo with a concentration in English Literature.  After I graduate, I intend to continue on to a PhD program to achieve my career goal of becoming a college professor.  While I have not determined a specific focus for a PhD program, my interests include Children's Fantasy Literature (i.e. J.R.R. Tolkein, C.S. Lewis, Lewis Carroll, as well as modern authors), Medieval Literature (specifically Arthurian), American Romanticism (i.e. Thoreau, Emerson, etc.), and British Literature in general.

Some of my hobbies include:
* involvement in community theater productions
* listening to and watching recent Broadway musicals
* playing the flute, piano, and guitar
* creative writing
